Hibernian v Dundee reaction
Hibernian boss Pat Fenlon stressed the importance of Eoin Doyle's opener as his side ran out 3-0 winners over Dundee.
The win moves the Easter Road club to top spot in the SPL, but the comfortable scoreline looked far off after a frustrating opening.
Doyle's header was added to by a Leigh Griffiths penalty after the break before David Wotherspoon completed the scoring.
Fenlon said: "I think it was really important to get the first goal.
"I think they came to make it difficult for us and it was hard for us to break them down. When teams play like that the first goal is always critical.
"You could feel the frustration creeping in with the players as well as the supporters. That's when you become a team.
"You have to stand up to that and be able to say 'we're just going to keep passing the ball and moving the ball and not get frustrated' - and we did that.
"It's a process the supporters and the players have been going through together."
Fenlon was quick to brush off any notion that their current standing in the league table may influence his team.
He added: "It'll do a lot for their confidence.
"Winning football matches does that for you. I don't think where we are in the league presently is a real concern.
"It is important that we move on and get confidence from continuing to win football matches, and that we make this place here real difficult for teams to come and play football matches."
Barry Smith bemoaned the same old story as far as his Dundee side were concerned.
The visitors gave Hibs a game in an even first half, but mistakes at the back ultimately cost them.
Smith said: "I think we started the game okay, had the two best chances of the first half and yet we go in 1-0 down.
"That's been the story of the season so far - individual errors which have led to collective errors. That is killing us at this moment in time and it is something that we have to rectify.
"The problem is that the boys are working hard, they are giving everything, but individual errors at this level will kill you.
"I don't think there is a lot between the majority of teams in this league. It is who will make the fewest mistakes and who will have the fewest individual errors that will win."
