Trio ready for Hibs debuts

Midfielder Dylan McGeouch and strikers Dominique Malonga and Jake Sinclair could all make their Hibernian debuts against Scottish Championship bottom club Cowdenbeath.

Striker Farid El Alagui is out after rupturing his Achilles tendon as Hibs look to bounce back from three consecutive league defeats.

Head coach Alan Stubbs said: "I want to see a proper response from my squad. I want to see a burning desire to be the best; anything less than 100 per cent won't be tolerated. It's all or nothing.

"The players are an excellent group of professionals - they know the standards that I want and expect from them. I trust them to be able to go out on the pitch and deliver."

Cowdenbeath have boosted their squad with the recruitment of Celtic defender Marcus Fraser on loan as well as the signing of Rangers youngster Calum Gallagher on a similar basis.

Moves to bring Colin Marshall to the club have fallen through with manager Jimmy Nicholl missing the injured Kenny Adamson (foot), Craig Sutherland (knee) and Sammy Stewart (groin).

Nicholl said: "Easter Road will be a tough venue however if we can defend in a much tighter fashion we will give ourselves a chance. We have been conceding too many goals this season and that has to stop.

"This would be a terrific game for us to show a much meaner approach."
