Hibernian boss Pat Fenlon admits Celtic were worthy winners of the Scottish Cup

Hibernian manager Pat Fenlon admitted Celtic deserved their 3-0 victory in the Scottish Cup final at Hampden Park. And Fenlon was proud of his team's efforts against Celtic, in contrast to last season's capitulation against Hearts. Hibs twice came close in the opening six minutes before Gary Hooper's brace left them chasing the game, but the players produced a battling display until the final whistle as a mark of the progress the squad has made in the last 12 months. A late Joe Ledley goal put a seal on the victory as Celtic completed a domestic double. Fenlon said: "If you lose a cup final you are bitterly disappointed, but I can't fault the players for effort. "We started the game really well and had the best chance early on, but then we gifted them two goals. "The better side won the game so no arguments."
