Scottish Premier League side Hibernian on Friday announced they had appointed Pat Fenlon as manager on a two-and-a-half-year contract.
Fenlon, 42, arrives from Irish side Bohemians and succeeds Colin Calderwood, who was sacked on November 6 following only 12 wins in 49 matches in his year in charge.
"I'm really excited by the prospect," Fenlon told the Hibs website.
"Hibernian are a club with a rich history and proud traditions," added Fenlon, who won five League of Ireland titles and three cup competitions over the past nine years in his homeland.
Edinburgh outfit Hibs finished a disappointing 10th last season and are currently ninth in the Scottish top flight.
