Four-some Loy leads Falkirk charge

Rory Loy's fourth goal of the season ensured Falkirk beat Hibernian for the first time in 12 attempts with a hard-fought 1-0 win at Easter Road.

The visitors raced into an early lead when Loy showed great composure to backheel the opener before an unmarked Paul Heffernan missed a glorious chance to level at the other end, heading wide from close range.

Hibs went close to an equaliser before the break when Farid El Agui went through on goal but, with just Jamie McDonald to beat, he found the side-netting before Falkirk's keeper foiled the Moroccan again, palming away his clever chip.

The impressive MacDonald denied El Alagui once more towards the end as Falkirk held out for a memorable win.
