Headaches still trouble Hogg

The headaches that have plagued Chris Hogg for the last seven weeks have forced the Hibernian defender to miss the Edinburgh derby against Hearts.

Hogg played throughout September despite suffering with headaches after a clash with Morton's Eric Paartlu in the CIS Cup tie against the first division side at the end of August.

He missed the win at Aberdeen earlier this month with the problem but, despite returning to training earlier this week, is still troubled by headaches.

Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen told the Edinburgh Evening News: "Chris needs to rest again this week, that's the order from the doctors so, really, there's no decision to be made.

"It's unfortunate, Chris is a big player for us, our player of the year last season."
