Hibernian came from a goal behind to draw 1-1 against Vitesse Arnhem in their friendly match in Holland.

The Easter Road side fell behind to a Roy de Ruiter goal five minutes from the end of the first half.

Hibs keeper Graham Stack then made two fine saves to prevent the visitors going further behind before the interval. However, skipper Derek Riordan scored a wonderful equaliser after the break.

Aberdeen were also held to a 1-1 draw at Blue Square Premier side Tamworth in the opening match of their tour of England.

Mark Howard was in goal for the visitors as number one Jamie Langfield missed out after burning his foot with boiling water on the team bus travelling south on Friday.

Josh Magennis gave Aberdeen the lead in the second minute when he took a Darren Mackie pass before hammering the ball into the net at the second attempt for his first goal for the Pittodrie club.

Aberdeen manager Mark McGhee made five changes at the break but eight minutes into the second half Kyle Perry headed in a Jay Smith cross with the Dons defence in disarray.
