Hibernian striker Steven Fletcher has confirmed that he is close to signing a new contract at Easter Road, ending talk of a move away from the Edinburgh club.
The 20-year-old had been linked with both Old Firm clubs, as well as a number of English clubs, but Fletcher insists he is happy to pledge his long-term future to Hibs.
He told the Daily Record: "There is a new contract waiting for me at the club and I want to get the deal signed and sealed as soon as possible.
"Of course being linked with the Old Firm and English Premier League sides is very flattering and shows I must be doing something right on the park.
"But I tried not to think about it too much and I feel I have a lot of years ahead of me in my career. I am very happy at Hibs.
"I feel I am still learning the game and developing as a player and believe there is no better place to learn my football than here at Easter Road.
"I feel I can develop my talent and get even better if I stay at Hibs."
