Fletcher injury fears allayed

The striker was forced to quit training during an international get-together at St Andrews on Monday to undergo tests on the joint, which has been causing him discomfort for around three weeks.[LNB]There were concerns he may have suffered medial ligament damage but scans have shown there is nothing major wrong with his knee.[LNB]Fletcher may still sit Hibernian's SPL trip to Kilmarnock but there is no immediate prospect of him missing Scotland's crucial World Cup qualifier in Holland next month.[LNB]Hibs boss Mixu Paatelainen said in the Edinburgh Evening News: "Steven went for a scan on his knee and fortunately it has come back to show that there is nothing major wrong with it.[LNB]"He went for the scan as a precautionary measure.[LNB]"Obviously, you don't go for a scan like that for no reason. He had been having problems with his knee for a few weeks and it is always a worry when you reach that stage.[LNB]"It's a relief that there is nothing too serious there although we won't know until later in the week if he will be fit enough to be involved this weekend."[LNB]But Paatelainen looks to be without utility man Ian Murray, who has been struggling with a groin strain for the past couple of weeks.[LNB]He was not involved in training when the Hibs' players reported back after a four-day break on Monday and was not expected to take part again on Tuesday.[LNB]Murray has already missed three matches and Paatelainen said: "Ian is still feeling pain in his groin and it is looking like he might not make the game this weekend."[LNB][LNB] Kilmarnock 6/4[LNB], Hibernian 7/4[LNB], Draw 12/5[LNB]
