Fletcher feels let down by Hibs

Fletcher, 21, was a transfer target for the Scottish champions but Hibs refused to entertain a bid for their star player.[LNB]Agent Scott Fisher claims Fletcher believes the Easter Road club are hurting his career prospects by refusing to let him move on.[LNB]"Steven is extremely disappointed and feels let down by Hibs," Fisher told BBC Scotland.[LNB]"Hibs were unwilling to give Celtic a concrete figure and so we were unable to conclude a deal."[LNB]Fletcher, who was on Monday named in the Scotland squad for this month's get-together at St Andrews, trained as usual with his Hibs team-mates on Monday morning and will stay until at least the end of the season after the January transfer window closed at 5pm.[LNB]Fisher added: "He feels he is not getting the opportunity to further his career."[LNB]Hibs dismissed an approach on Friday from Celtic to hold talks over a possible transfer for the highly rated forward, who is under contract until 2013.[LNB]It is thought the Hoops were willing to offer a player plus cash but the Edinburgh club released a statement which read: "Hibernian FC rejected a verbal approach from an SPL club to discuss the potential transfer of Steven Fletcher. No further discussion is planned."[LNB]Cardiff are also thought to have had a £3million bid rejected.[LNB]Fletcher, who has scored six goals this season, missed Saturday's 1-1 Clydesdale Bank Premier League draw with Motherwell due to suspension.[LNB][LNB]
