Fenlon wants Claros to stay

Hibs boss Pat Fenlon insists the arrival of Scott Robertson need not spell the end of Honduras international Jorge Claros' time at Easter Road.

Robertson has penned a two-and-a-half year deal after arriving from npower Championship side Blackpool. But on-loan midfielder Claros has yet to seal the approval of parent side Motagua in his homeland to extend his stint in Scotland for another six months. And Fenlon, who will include Robertson in his group for Wednesday night's Clydesdale Bank Premier League match with Ross County in Dingwall, insists he wants the 27-year-old to stay. He said:

"Scott coming in doesn't mean Jorge won't stay. It's whether we can get things done with Jorge that is the issue. It's about getting things sorted with his club.

"We want to keep him but everything has to be right from his point of view and ours."

Robertson made just one appearance during his failed move to Bloomfield Road but Fenlon has high hopes for the twice-capped former Dundee United man. He said:

"Scott is different to what we have. He's more of a box-to-box midfielder who will get into the area and get on the end of chances.

"He has a wealth of experience in this league, which is important too.

"I was surprised his move south didn't work out as he has real ability. Blackpool have a lot of players, so I suppose it is difficult for a lot of players when they step out of the SPL into the Championship as it is a difficult league and the clubs have really big squads. Making the breakthrough can be tough."
