Dire display shocks Collins

Hibernian manager John Collins admitted his team deserved nothing after producing a tame display in Sunday's 3-1 defeat at Aberdeen.

Hibs even had the benefit of taking the lead at Pittodrie, only to then succumb to a disappointing loss.

A dejected Collins said: "We fell well below the high standards we've set this season.

"Our passing and control weren't good, but all credit to Aberdeen as I thought they played very well while it was a disappointing performance from us.

"Away from home if you don't play well then you very rarely get anything from the game and they thoroughly deserved their victory.

"There's no doubt we missed Rob Jones at the heart of the defence as he's such a commanding figure for us and he wins every header.

"We don't have another Rob Jones at the club though, so we're just going to have to live with that."
