Cregg keen to prove worth to Hibs

Cregg followed John Hughes from Falkirk to Hibs last month, despite having found himself in and out of the Bairns side towards the end of last season. "You just take these times on the chin and work your way out of any problems," Cregg told Hibernian TV. "I'm certainly not a person that wants to sit around on the sidelines." Cregg, who was at Arsenal before joining Falkirk in 2006, added: "I'm first of all grateful for being given the opportunity to be at such a club as Hibernian - and I hope I show I can be a good asset for this great club. "I'm sure people will have their own opinions on my game, but all I would say is that I will always give 100% for the manager and the supporters. "I have no real preference on where I play - wherever the manager wants me to play is where I'll play. "I'm a believer that you always have to put your own personal views to one side and simply do your best for the team. "I came to Hibernian to be part of a good team, and so I need to show that I'm good enough to be in the team. "That means I need to work hard - you need to respect all the other players in the squad but, at the end of the day, you want to play. "You have to be mentally tough, because there will be times in life when you fail - but it's how you can take that failure that matters." Scots Premier Without Old Firm Win Outright: Hibernian 5/1
