The First Division outfit were applauded from the field by the home fans after Michael Gardyne's equaliser 11 minutes from time snatched a 2-2 draw.[LNB]The Staggies had chances to give themselves a semi-final trip to Hampden next month late on but Adams insisted he was not disappointed to have missed out on a dramatic victory.[LNB]He said: "We were terrific. We performed to a very high standard and we had the chances to win the game but it was a magnificent performance.[LNB]"The players were marvellous. I didn't have to make a substitution in the game and that tells its own story.[LNB]"I thought we controlled large spells of the game and we got great support from midfield. The two attackers caused them problems and I just thought it was a terrific performance from us.[LNB]"It gives us a chance in the replay now. We're at home and I was delighted that we were able to take them to a replay.[LNB]"After being down twice in the game it showed the character of the players. They were marvellous, that they wanted to go and win the game and they were unfortunate not to do that.[LNB]"We had a lot of possession in the game and we used the possession well.[LNB]"I don't know if Hibernian didn't realise what they were going to be up against, player-wise. But they certainly know now what to expect come the replay.[LNB]"I'm not disappointed because Hibs are a good side and they're doing well in the SPL.[LNB]"Okay, we had opportunities to win the game, there's no doubt about that, but you're playing against a top-class side."[LNB]Martin Scott had a shot cleared off the line by Ian Murray with only minutes remaining and then saw his follow-up effort saved by Hibs keeper Graham Stack's face, and Adams admitted they were thrilled with the home supporters' appreciation of their efforts at full-time.[LNB]He added: "I thought that was tremendous from the Hibs fans. They appreciate good football and we certainly put on a good show today and I think they appreciated that, although I don't think they would have applauded us off if we had won 3-2."[LNB]Despite feeling his team should have held on to their 2-1 lead, Hibs manager John Hughes confessed he was relieved to remain in with a chance of earning a Hampden outing and insisted County deserved the plaudits for their performance.[LNB]Hughes, whose misery was compounded by losing fourth place in the league to Motherwell, said: "All the credit should go to Ross County. They came down here and would possibly be disappointed to be 2-1 down at one stage in the game, and they were possibly the better team over the piece.[LNB]"Saying that, I did feel we had the better of the chances throughout the game, albeit the last five minutes was a bit hairy.[LNB]"At 2-1 we should have seen the game out and to lose the second goal the way we did was amateurish stuff.[LNB]"It was just a high ball down the channel and for some unknown reason no-one went over to cover it.[LNB]"But I'm thankful we got the two goals and we know how difficult it's going to be going up to Dingwall. We have to play better than what we showed today but we're still in there fighting.[LNB]"I'm obviously disappointed and I'm a little bit frustrated but we're still in there and I'm not too disappointed because I know the effort, spirit and good football that Ross County showed. You have to take your hat off to that as well.[LNB]"You're frustrated and disappointed you're not getting that trip to Hampden for the semi-final but I'm upbeat as well because we're still in it.[LNB]"And I saw a lot there that we can go and improve on and if we do then hopefully the trip to Hampden will come."[LNB][LNB]
