Collins cools exit talk

Hibernian manager John Collins is confident that captain Kevin Thomson will not follow team-mate Scott Brown in handing in a transfer request at Easter Road.

Brown asked for a move straight after the 2-1 weekend win over Dundee United, but Collins doesn't expect Thomson to do the same.

He told the Edinburgh Evening News: "We've had a good chat and he won't be handing in a transfer request.

"I never expected him to go down that route. To be honest, I was a bit surprised to receive the request from Scott Brown, but I hope we can get that situation resolved as well.

"The boys have shown a good attitude in training and in matches, as they always do, and I don't expect that to change.

"The Hibs fans don't need to worry about their commitment, because they will go out and give it 100 per cent, as they always do."
