Collins backs Clayton

Hibs boss John Collins has backed Clayton Donaldson to bounce back after the striker was sent off in Saturday's draw with Falkirk.

Donaldson had given Collins' side the lead from the penalty spot before being dismissed before the break for a second bookable offence.

The Hibs boss told the Edinburgh Evening News: "I certainly hope he gets back on track. It was a disappointing sending-off but he knows the rules.

"I think the first booking was perhaps just down to a wee bit of frustration, he'd just got the worry of getting his first goal off his back.

"His second booking was unfortunate because we ask our strikers to make tackles and he won a perfect tackle but the referee has pulled out the red card.

"It'll be a blow to him but he's a strong character and I'm sure that he'll be okay."
