Hibs boss Tony Mowbray is hoping skipper Gary Caldwell will be back in action in time for the start of the club's UEFA Cup campaign.
The Scotland defender has been sidelined since suffering a punctured lung and broken ribs during the Edinburgh derby in early August, but is now back in training.
"The important thing is to have Gary back fit and healthy for as many games as possible," Tony Mowbray told the Edinburgh Evening News. "I don't want to give Gary any targets for a comeback."
Hibs' first UEFA Cup game is against Ukrainian side Dnipro at Easter Road on September 15.
