Calderwood urges caution

Hibernian manager Colin Calderwood continued to warn his players not to start thinking they have turned the corner after Francis Dickoh's late goal at St Mirren Park earned them a third successive victory. Dickoh headed the only goal from close range in the 87th minute after Paul Hanlon had headed back Callum Booth's deep corner to give Hibs a 1-0 victory. The win moved them 11 points above Clydesdale Bank Premier League bottom club Hamilton and six above Saints. Neither side had really looked like scoring in a scrappy affair, although Martin Scott twice headed against the outside of the woodwork for the visitors. But Hibs showed a solidity previously lacking before Calderwood's January shake-up, which saw the arrival of the likes of Victor Palsson, Scott and Richie Towell, all of whom played in Paisley. Booth and goalkeeper Graham Stack have also come into the team and helped secure wins over St Mirren, twice, and Kilmarnock in February. But Calderwood is not resting on his laurels ahead of the visit of Inverness on Saturday. "It helps in the short term, the long term has still to be decided," he said. "What we do in the next game and the games after that before the split will determine how important these wins have been. "There is no game dead for us. I said that to the team before the game, don't think that two victories make us a good team or that you've done everything you're going to do. We've got a point to prove in everything we do between now and May."
