Calderwood takes heart from point

Hibernian manager Colin Calderwood was relieved after watching his side claim a 1-1 draw against St Johnstone. An own goal by Richie Towell had given the Saints the lead early in the second half, but David Wotherspoon levelled with 11 minutes to go. He said: "St Johnstone dominated the first half and deserved their lead. I know they'll be feeling it hard just now. "We really didn't perform in the first half, but we came out in the second half, played better and gave ourselves a platform to build from. "We couldn't get Derek Riordan into the game, so we needed some physical presence. "Ricardo Vaz Te did okay when he came on (for Riordan), we can expect a lot better from him in the games to come. The ball wasn't on the floor enough for us to play, so having a big target like him was good."
