Fans from both sides of Edinburgh have welcomed Colin Calderwood to the SPL, but the Hibs boss hopes those from Leith will be happy on Sunday.[LNB] Calderwood takes charge at Easter Road for the first time in the derby clash with Hearts, having seen his side beaten in two away games since he succeeded John Hughes as boss.[LNB]The former Scotland defender will be seeking to become an instant success with Hibs fans in the north of the city on Sunday, having had many well-wishers since his appointment last month.[LNB]Hearts fans have also been keen to make Calderwood's acquaintance.[LNB]"Predominantly it's been Hibernian fans who have said hello to me," said Calderwood.[LNB]"There have been a number who have said good luck and wished me well 'but I'm a Hearts fan'.[LNB]"I don't know what type of confession that is."[LNB]Hibs put in a mistake-ridden performance in Calderwood's first match in charge, losing 4-2 at Aberdeen, before a late 1-0 defeat at Dundee United last weekend.[LNB]Calderwood is delighted with the application of his charges since he has come in and believes further collective improvement tomorrow could earn a third win of the season, giving Hibs fans something to be happy about.[LNB]"We've got to make sure we know what our individual and unit jobs are and try to get a result that we're all after and put a smile on all Hibernian faces on Sunday afternoon," said Calderwood.[LNB]The players have been working hard to prove themselves to Calderwood in training.[LNB]"The more time you spend with them, the better you understand them," said the manager.[LNB]"You can see there's an edge to them and it must be because the Hearts game is coming up.[LNB]"They're very willing to impress and work hard in training."[LNB]And he has no doubts they are capable of moving away from the foot of the table and challenging at the top end of the standings, like last term when they finished fourth.[LNB]"The ability is within the squad," said Calderwood.[LNB]"We're a work in progress. We're lacking a little bit of luck, a little bit of self-confidence.[LNB]"All the things that will make us finish games, get over the line or get into a lead we're slightly short on, but they're there, within the group.[LNB]"I fully expect us to improve our results and if we can improve our attitude to training, I'll be amazed, because it's bob on at the minute."[LNB]While Calderwood will be experiencing the Edinburgh derby for the first time, it will not be his first taste of an encounter where local pride is at stake.[LNB]He played in numerous north London derbies during his time at Tottenham, but is now looking to impart his experience to his players.[LNB]Calderwood said: "I've had my time being a player, what I'm now about is being successful as a manager and getting the group really focused and controlled enough to win this game, which I think we can."[LNB]
