Calderwood pinpoints Hibs weakness

Hibernian manager Colin Calderwood will continue to focus on his team's defending after being concerned by the way they were cut open during their 2-1 defeat at Kilmarnock. Ben Gordon twice set up Liam Kelly to sweep home from inside the penalty box as Kilmarnock moved into fifth place in the Clydesdale Bank Premier League. The first goal came from an impressive passing move in the ninth minute with Mehdi Taouil playing an integral role with a clever reverse pass inside Hibs right-back Michael Hart to send Gordon down the left wing. The second came in the 43rd minute when Kilmarnock moved the ball from right to left with Gordon again finding the room and composure to pick out Kelly, who finished instantly once more to celebrate his new two-and-a-half-year contract in style. Hibs remain rooted in the bottom six after suffering five defeats in eight games since Calderwood took over from the sacked John Hughes, and the former Nottingham Forest manager is keen to make his team more resilient. "It looks quite easy to score against us and that's something we've got to look at," Calderwood said. "It's not as if we're stretched, we've got enough bodies back. It's then the responsibility of those in the areas of the pitch."
