Brown tipped to bounce back

Hibs defender David Murphy is backing Simon Brown to bounce back from his error-strewn display against Rangers.

Brown's mistakes allowed Charlie Adam to score both the goals from free-kicks and the shot-stopper apologised to his team-mates afte the 2-0 loss.

"I felt really sorry for Simon on Sunday as he'd been looking great in training and was very sharp and agile," said Murphy.

"He came in and apologised to all the boys after the game but he didn't need to say sorry because everyone makes mistakes - we've all been there.

"There's nothing any of the players could say to him. He was gutted and we just have to let him get on with it and pick himself up. Nobody needed to rant and rave about it as Simon knows deep down that he made a mistake.

"He will bounce back as he is such a strong character in the dressing room."
