Booth not looking too far ahead

Callum Booth has played down the prospect of promotion to the Scotland senior team following a stellar start to his career with Hibernian. Booth made his Hibs debut in January's Scottish Cup fourth-round replay loss at Ayr, coming off the bench with 10 minutes remaining. However, since then he has started all eight league games at left-back and completed the 90 minutes in each appearance. The 19-year-old was named Clydesdale Bank Premier League Young Player of the Month for February and Hibs boss Colin Calderwood - the Manager of the Month - says this is only the beginning for a player he deems to have lots of potential. Booth, though, is merely hoping he can keep his place in the Scotland Under-21 squad for this month's match with Belgium - and in the Hibs team for the SPL match with St Johnstone. "My main aim is just to play on Saturday," said Booth. "I'm not really thinking about anything else. I'm just looking at every game, just one step at a time. "I'm not thinking about playing for Scotland or anything. My aim for Scotland would be just to keep in the under-21 squad for the friendly at the end of this month."
