Bamba hoping for ref resolution

Hibernian defender Sol Bamba has urged the Scottish Football Association to resolve the referees crisis for fear of fixture congestion - and to give his side the chance to forget their loss at Inverness. Hibs, who lost 4-2 to Caley Thistle on at the weekend, are scheduled to meet St Johnstone on Saturday, but the contest is in doubt due to the proposed referees' strike. The SFA are attempting to avert strike action, but are seeking alternatives, with the prospect of officials being parachuted in from abroad. Bamba believes officials need greater protection from the SFA. The Hibs defender said in the Edinburgh Evening News: "In this game everyone is criticised, from the players and managers to the referees, it is just part of it. "But if the referees don't feel safe because of what is happening to them right now, then the SFA have to do something about it. "
