Agogo excited by partnership

Junior Agogo believes his burgeoning partnership with Hibernian "legend" Garry O'Connor could help the club move away from the relegation zone.[LNB] The experienced duo combined to salvage a point with a 3-3 draw against Dundee United on Saturday, with the pair grabbing a goal apiece as Hibs went 1-0 up and then had to come back from 3-1 down.[LNB]Their blossoming partnership was evident early on as Agogo's ball laid on O'Connor's eighth of the season, only for a Jon Daly brace and a Danny Swanson strike to send United clear.[LNB]That ramped up the heat on under-pressure boss Colin Calderwood, but some off that was relieved when Scott Robertson put through his own goal and O'Connor returned the favour to lay on a goal for Agogo.[LNB]And former Nottingham Forest striker Agogo believes he and O'Connor have what it takes to bring the good times back to Easter Road.[LNB]"This was the first 90 minutes I've played since coming here," the Ghana international said.[LNB]"In the next few months I'll get fitter and hopefully get a few more goals.[LNB]"We score a load of goals in training, me and Garry - hopefully we'll get some more in games. He's a legend around here but, more than that, he's a top boy and great for the lads. His goal was a great finish.[LNB]"We work off each other well. I like to drop deep and he can work the channels. We complement each other well and we'll be working hard in training to make sure we bring out the best in each other on matchdays.[LNB]"It's been stop-start from me since I've come here but I'm feeling good with every day that passes."[LNB]Dundee United will wonder how they managed to let such a commanding lead slip, after being vastly the better side for most of the encounter.[LNB]John Rankin, in particular, was superb for the visitors and had a hand in all three goals for the Tayside club.[LNB]He also narrowly missed out of getting on the scoresheet himself, lobbing inches over the bar in the first period.[LNB]After the match the midfielder admitted he is enjoying his football again after an ill-fated spell at Easter Road, and it certainly showed in a lively, dynamic display at his old stomping ground.[LNB]"John's been like that all season for us," manager Peter Houston said.[LNB]"His character and attitude is spot on and he's a very good player.[LNB]"For 90 minutes he was excellent.[LNB]"His use of the ball, pressing, movement and attacking play was terrific. Overall you look at John Rankin and you have to say he's been a great signing."
