Adams relishing clash with Hoops

County came from behind to snatch a sensational 2-1 victory against the Scottish Premier League SPL side side in a thrilling quarter-final replay.[LNB]After a goalless first half, Anthony Stokes fired Hibs ahead in the 46th minute when he headed home a Colin Nish knock back from a Derek Riordan corner.[LNB]But County finished strongly and the introduction of Garry Woods proved to be a master-stroke when he stabbed home the equaliser after an Andy Barrowman shot was blocked on the line.[LNB]With seconds of normal time left County grabbed a dramatic winner when man of the match Scott Boyd rose at the back post to head home a Richard Brittain corner.[LNB]"It was a tremendous occasion. We created a lot of opportunities tonight," said Adams, who will now take his team to Hampden park to face the Hoops on April 10.[LNB]"The stats say we had 60% of possession and 15 attempts at goal we can't complain at that.[LNB]"We've been down three times in the tie overall and were able to come back.[LNB]"I'm just delighted for the players they have been tremendous all season - they deserve their day at Hampden now.[LNB]"We were decent in the first half and created opportunities but we lost a goal so early in the second half.[LNB]"We have been down so many times against Hibs but we showed how we can come back. We got the boys to pass the ball and get forward, we created a number of opportunities."[LNB]He added: "We've got desire and belief. We don't care about anyone else and we gave it a go against a Premier League side.[LNB]"Garry Wood comes on and scores a goal. Paul Lawson gets injured and I have to make a change, and I put two strikers up front and we went for it and it worked - that's the beauty of football.[LNB]"This is the best occasion any of these players in the dressing room can have to get to a semi-final. I've been there as a player for Motherwell and enjoyed the occasion although we lost 4-3 against Rangers.[LNB]"I'm thoroughly looking forward to going there as a manager but I'm looking for the players as well."[LNB]Hibs manager John Hughes was "gutted" with the result.[LNB]"It was absolutely gut wrenching. We were better than the way we played tonight, we should have played a lot better," he said.[LNB]"But give credit where it is due, they put us under pressure, they got their goals. I'm honest enough to say we'll never win a match if we keep losing the type of goals we're conceding. Two poor goals in my opinion, that's it in a nutshell.[LNB]"It was the quarter-final of the Scottish Cup, but I have to watch what I'm saying because it sounds as if you are patronising the supporters I want to say it like it is. If that is our best shot, knowing what is lying in front of us Celtic at Hampden we've got one or two problems."[LNB]He added: "We should never have been up here tonight although Ross County were the better team. To be 2-1 up at home in the last five minutes and lose it was disappointing.[LNB]"We needed to roll our sleeves and get on with it. We need to show plenty character and see where we go from there.[LNB]"I've said this before the teams in the top half of the first division are good enough to play in the SPL, Ross County are a well organised side so I wish them all the best in the semi-final.[LNB]"Over the piece they probably deserved it. If I look at my Hibs team I have a lot of work in front of me."[LNB][LNB]
