Young Hibees side defeated

Hibs U20's travelled to Pittodrie this afternoon, as they faced off against their Aberdeen counterparts in the SPL U20 League.

Aberdeen opened the scoring, but young Alex Harris, who made his first team debut on Saturday as a substitute against Dundee, equalised for the Hibees.

The Dons quickly scored another and went in at the break 2-1 ahead.

Hibs, who had new goalkeeper Sean Murdoch in goals for his club debut after signing on Saturday, found Aberdeen's Josh Magennis in a menacing mood and soon found themselves 3-1 down.

The game finished 3-1 to Aberdeen.

On a dissapointing side-note, young Hibs player Andrew Black suffered a serious injury and was stretchered off. It seems he has broken his fibula, get well soon Andy.

Hibs team:

Murdoch, Donaldson, Baptie, Monaghan, Black, Wilson, Horribine, Gold, Smith, Stanton, Harris.

Subs: Grant, Beaton, Paul, Doyle.
