Aberdeen chasing Hibs striker Colin Nish

Sheep want Hibs forward According to reports in tonight’s press, Aberdeen are interested in Hibs striker Colin Nish. The on-form 6ft 4in ex Kilmarnock player has hit 5 goals in his last 2 games, taking his season’s tally to a respectable 12. Nish, 29, has recently had a fall-out with the club’s supporters, hitting out at them, following criticism of manager John Hughes, and may see any move by the Dons as a fresh start. Aberdeen boss Mark McGhee is said to be ready to bid for the player in the summer, but due to the empty coffers at Pittodrie, it remains to be seen what kind of offer they could make, and whether it could entice Hibs to sell a player they paid £150,000 for 2 years ago. McGhee has tried to land Nish already this season, having a bid for the player turned down in January, the Hibees also turned down a £250,000 offer from Scunthorpe. The former Alloa, Dunfermline and Killie striker has a contract at Easter Road until the end of next season.
