Pantelic slams Hertha coach

Former Hertha Berlin striker Marko Pantelic has aimed fire at his former employers and in particular coach Lucien Favre.

The 30-year-old Serbia international has joined Dutch giants Ajax, having become disillusioned with life at the Bundesliga club.

He told Pink TV: "Lucien Favre is highly over-rated. Last year's good performances were not a result of his coaching skills.

"The team was in a great form and just kept on winning. The players are the ones to thank for last year's successful Bundesliga campaign.

"Everybody in Berlin knows Marko Pantelic and Lucien Favre. However, everybody liked Pantelic, except our opponents and Favre, while nobody was fond of Lucien Favre.

"A lot of big teams were interested in signing me, but I wanted to join Roma.

"However, I was tired of waiting toward the end of August and that was when Ajax coach Martin Jol approached me."
