Hertha linked with Pantelic

The agent of Serbia striker Marko Pantelic has played down rumours linking his client with a return to Hertha Berlin.

The 31-year-old was allowed to leave the Bundesliga club at the end of last season and subsequently joined Ajax on an initial one-year deal.

Pantelic's agent Karel van Burik told De Telegraaf: "There are no negotiations going on between Hertha and Marko Pantelic. The parties have had contact, but a transfer has not been discussed.

"Marko just wants to think about succeeding at Ajax. He's eager to return to full match fitness and make an impact again.

"His current Ajax deal is due to expire in the summer of 2010 and we will have a meeting with the Ajax board in January to discuss a contract renewal."
