Hereford United loan pair Sherjill MacDonald and Gary Hooper have won high praise from manager Graham Turner for their performances since moving to Edgar Street.

Southend United forward Hooper has netted three goals in four games for the Bulls, while West Brom striker MacDonald has five goals from just two appearances, including a hat-trick in the 4-2 win at Rochdale.

Turner told the Hereford Times after the win at Spotland: "Sherjill has played very well for us, he has got his hat-trick and set up one or two other good chances for us and contributed a lot.

"He is a quality player, there is no doubt about that. It was outstanding that the Rochdale supporters actually applauded him off the pitch.

"But we should not underestimate Gary Hooper's part in the win. He is doing well, doing a lot of running and setting up chances.

"The combination has worked very well over the two games that they have played together. Eight goals in those two games is very good."
