Turner wants Bulls reinforcements

Published: 17 Mar 2010 - 13:12:23

Turner, who has taken charge of team affairs following the departure of John Trewick, saw his side crash to a seventh consecutive defeat when Morecambe's Jim Bentley beat Bulls goalkeeper Adam Bartlett with a close-range header in Tuesday night's League Two clash at Edgar Street. "The deadline is not far off and we have got to bring players in to strengthen the squad," Turner said. "There's been a lot of telephone calls in the last four or five days and we've just missed one or two players who have gone to bigger clubs. "We worked very hard (against Morecambe) but there was a degree of panic early in the game with long balls, but once we started to get it down I thought we got it into good areas. "Whatever chances Morecambe have had we have also had a number of good opportunities - two from set pieces and the two that their goalkeeper saved with his feet."
