Turner reveals Ingham blow
16 Mar 2008 - 10:49:55
Hereford United boss Graham Turner is on the lookout for a loan goalkeeper after Michael Ingham was ruled out for at least a month with a finger injury.
Ingham sat on the bench for the 1-0 home win over Wycombe Wanderers, despite having ruptured tendons in a finger during training prior to the weekend.
Turner told the club's official website: "Mike Ingham ruptured the tendons in his finger in training, so he is going to be out for six weeks.
"But he was prepared to cut his glove, get his finger in and strap it up again and sit on the bench.
"We had no chance to do anything this weekend, but we've got an opportunity to bring another goalkeeper in.
"I know he's not figured much, but he's a quality keeper and to lose him at this stage is a blow to us."
