Turner brings in Threlfall
31 Oct 2007 - 07:19:16
Hereford United have snapped up Liverpool youngster Robbie Threlfall on a month's loan.
The 18-year-old left-back, who can also operate in a more forward role, has been drafted in to cover for a suspension to Karl Broadhurst, while the Bulls are also currently shorn of the services of the injured Dean Beckwith.
Bulls boss Graham Turner is also likely to be without Australian Trent McClenahan due to international duty in the coming weeks.
John McCombe is the only fit central defender among the Edgar Street squad, with the versatile Richard Rose set to partner the former Huddersfield Town stopper against Darlington next weekend.
United first-team coach John Trewick had told the club's official website: "Richard Rose can drop back to centre-half if needs be.
"When Richard has played centre-back before he has done well for us, but it leaves us a bit thin on the ground if someone has to go off injured."
