Trewick delight at McCallum double

Published: 03 Feb 2010 - 10:20:11

The Canadian-born midfielder lashed home the first from close range before sealing all three points 10 minutes into the second half when he beat goalkeeper Rob Burch with a low shot into the far corner. The result came as a big boost for the Bulls, who had not tasted victory since December 1. "Gavin could have had three or four and if he plays like that every week I will be delighted," said Trewick. "He showed intelligence which I have been asking for in his positional play and has shown direction and a positive attitude when going forward. "I wanted him on the pitch as a forward player to do what he does best and he did that." Trewick added: "It would round off a good week if we could get another positive result against Torquay on Saturday, but my main consideration now is to get one or two of our injured players fit and make sure the players who have worked hard will recover as best they can."
