Tolley targets comeback

Published: 04 Feb 2010 - 15:27:58

Hereford midfielder Jamie Tolley is itching to get back into action as soon as possible after discovering his leg injury is not as bad as first feared.Tolley`s suspected broken fibula against Port Vale last weekend turned out to be less severe than first thought. But while he would like to be back in contention to face Torquay this Saturday, the trip to Shrewsbury seven days later is a more realistic target."At Port Vale it was a massive blow for me having only just got in the team," he told Bulls Player. "But it`s just the way it goes, I`ve got to keep positive and hopefully be back in a couple of weeks."The doctor seems to think I`ve had an old injury on the same bit where I`ve taken the knock and there seems to be a bit of bone that`s grown across my shin. I think I`ve just disturbed that and that`s what the problem is."Hopefully it will settle down in two weeks and I will be alright. Thank God the X-ray didn`t show any fractures."Hopefully I can get back in the team. I`d like to say I`ll be back on Saturday but Pits (Hereford physio Jamie Pitman) thinks maybe the Saturday after is more likely."
