Hereford United's stand-in skipper Ben Smith has backed the Bulls squad to cope with a number of injuries and maintain their promotion challenge in League Two.
A 3-1 win over Lincoln City kept United among the pacesetters, despite the absence of Karl Broadhurst, Clint Easton, Richard Rose and loan defender Robbie Threlfall due to injuries.
Smith told the Western Daily Press: "We have a small squad of first-team players who can come into the team at any time
"Every time a player steps in, they do well.
"It is unfortunate the injuries that we have been getting, but hopefully we can cope until January.
"Then, if we have any long-term injuries, I am sure the manager will use the loan market to bring in some quality players.
"We also have players who can step into several positions, which also helps a lot."
