Purdie backs Bulls for play-offs

Hereford United midfielder Rob Purdie is backing his side to carry on the good work and seal a Nationwide Conference play-off place.

Purdie opened his goalscoring account for the Bulls in their 2-2 draw at Northwich Victoria and is now looking forward to the next two fixtures, at home to Stevenage and away to runaway leaders Yeovil.

"We're looking for three points against Stevenage and then Yeovil are doing well at the moment but there's always a chance," Purdie told BBC Hereford & Worcester, as reported on hu-fc.co.uk.

"If we can get that win against them, it might upset them and they might start tripping up.

"We're looking in good stead for the play-offs, so hopefully we can get there and will be playing in the third division next season."
