New contracts for Bulls pair

Hereford United have agreed new contracts with midfield duo Sam Gwynne and Craig Jones.

The relegated Bulls have begun preparing for life back in League Two next season by retaining the pair.

Meanwhile, defenders Kris Taylor and Richard Rose are also expected to put pen to paper on fresh deals to remain at Edgar Street.

Newly-installed manager John Trewick has already drafted in youngsters Tyler Weir and Joel Edwards since he replaced Graham Turner in the hot-seat.

"We've signed a couple of lads who have just left college, we've re-signed Craig Jones who we think has got some potential and Sam Gwynne. It's nice, there's four local lads for us," now chairman and director of football Turner told the club's official website.

"John tells me that so far Kris Taylor and Richard Rose have indicated they would like to re-sign and are way down the road with that.

"But it's like everything else at this stage of the season. It's wait and see.

"There's a whole list of players we're currently trawling through, making enquiries about and talking to, and we'll see what comes in."
