Hereford United have agreed a deal with Southend United to keep Gary Hooper at Edgar Street until the end of the season.
The 20-year-old has been on loan with the Bulls for the last month, playing a key role in the club's rise into the League Two automatic promotion places.
The former Grays Athletic striker has found the net five times in his seven starts for Hereford since arriving at the club in late January.
Hooper moved to Roots Hall from Grays in the summer of 2006 and has scored four times in 16 starts and 27 appearances from the substitute's bench for the Shrimpers.
