Guinan eyes coaching future

Hereford United striker Steve Guinan is calm about the prospects of being offered a coaching role at Edgar Street.

The 33-year-old was the Bulls' top scorer in a dismal campaign in League One and is out of contract with United, now under the charge of new manager John Trewick.

However, Guinan told the club's official website: "I feel I'm as fit as I've ever been and have no intention of hanging up my playing boots.

"I've got my coaching badges and, hopefully, coaching and maybe management will be my eventual future in the game.

"I've been involved in some coaching this season and I want to go on developing that.

"All I'm thinking about at the moment is getting a contract to stay as a player, anything else above and beyond would be a bonus."
