Guinan blow hits Bulls
24 Oct 2007 - 07:50:00
Hereford United striker Steve Guinan will serve a three-match suspension for his sending-off in the 1-0 defeat at home to MK Dons last weekend.
Guinan was shown a straight red card for a late challenge on Lloyd Dyer on the stroke of half-time at Edgar Street and will now miss the games with Peterborough United, Darlington and Mansfield Town.
Bulls boss Graham Turner had said after the game: "It was nothing more than a trip and most people like me were staggered when the referee produced the red card."
Guinan, who has scored three goals this season, added on BBC Radio Hereford & Worcester: "I think everyone knows it was a yellow card except the man that counts who is the referee.
"But the decision has been made and nothing can be done about it."
