Delay frustrates Turner

Hereford United's director of football Graham Turner is keen to strengthen his squad but is still waiting to hear if five current Bulls stars have decided to accept new contract offers from the club.

Andy Williams looks set to sign for Bristol Rovers but four other players are still mulling over their futures.

"Rob Purdie has been in to see me and I've spoken by phone with Dean Beckwith while Simon Travis and Alan Connell's agents have rung the office," Turner told the Hereford Times.

"But we've had nothing in writing from any of them.

"We've talked with a dozen or more players over the last couple of weeks and there are offers on the table to a number of them. Now we're awaiting replies."
