Bulls up Williams offer

Hereford United manager Graham Turner has confirmed that the club have made an improved contract offer to promising forward Andy Williams.

Turner told the club's official website: "I've seen Andy Williams and increased the offer to him, so I'm not sure what his line of thought is at the moment.

"There are other players that we're still waiting for and I've said before that they've got until June 19 to let us know."

Williams, a local lad, turned down a January move to Bristol Rovers to stay with the Bulls and ended the season with nine goals for the Football League returnees.

Meanwhile, United boss Turner has also hinted that centre-half Dean Beckwith is considering an exit from Edgar Street.

He added in the Western Daily Press: "Dean Beckwith can play at a higher level, but needs at least another season with us."
