Stam straight in for Bulls

Hereford manager Jamie Pitman will include new signing Stefan Stam in his squad for the trip to Port Vale. The 31-year-old Yeovil defender, who has made just three appearances for his parent club this season after falling out with Glovers boss Terry Skiverton in November, has signed a month-long loan deal with the Bulls. The Dutchman will fight it out with Ryan Green, Joe Heath and Rob Purdie for one of the two full-back positions. On-loan midfielder Steven Leslie looks set to retain his place in the starting line-up, but Nicky Featherstone and James McQuilkin are both pushing for recalls. Long-term absentees goalkeeper Dan Connor and defender Ryan Valentine remain sidelined, although both are making good progress following hip injuries and could return to action within the next three weeks.
