Pitman happy with point
Hereford manager Jamie Pitman praised his side after they bounced back from a poor result in midweek to claim a point in a goalless draw at Gillingham.
The Bulls were beaten 4-0 at Accrington on Wednesday but put in a much-improved showing against their play-off chasing opponents to leave Pitman a happy man.
"We have worked very hard and we always tend to get a reaction after a poor result," he said.
"We have come, done a job and got a very good point and hopefully that point will be getting us closer to safety.
"We are still looking downwards and counting down the games - still trying to get to 50 points. We just have to try and get there as quickly as possible. We are good enough to do that - I have always said that.
"It was an all-round very good performance, but the two centre-halves played very well and were a big part of how we managed to get a point."
