Oxford Utd 0-2 Hereford: Report

26 February 2011 18:09
Fleetwood at the double Stuart Fleetwood's double gave away-day specialists Hereford their sixth away win of 2011 and their fourth in a row in the league as they beat Oxford 2-0. The striker turned in Joe Colbeck's fine left-wing cross in the eight minute and in the closing stages he turned in Waide Fairhurst's driven cross from five yards. Colbeck was possibly lucky to stay on the pitch after a reckless high challenge on Damian Batt three minutes into the second half, which sparked a melee among the players. Referee Darren Drysdale decided a yellow card was sufficient for Colbeck while Hereford keeper Adam Bartlett saved from Asa Hall and Tom Craddock during the first half. And he had a fortunate escape when, after Anthony Tonkin and Simon Heslop had seen their shots blocked in front of goal, centre-half Harry Worley sliced his shot over the bar from a great position. Substitute Simon Hackney headed against the underside of the bar from Heslop's cross with 10 minutes remaining.
