Manset finally sees off Imps

Mathieu Manset fired Hereford through to the third round of the FA Cup as the Bulls overcame fellow npower League Two strugglers Lincoln 4-3 in a thriller. Manset struck in either half to sandwich a double from Stuart Fleetwood, while goals from Jamie Clapham, Delroy Facey and Ashley Grimes ensured Lincoln played their full part in a superb cup-tie. The Bulls took a fourth-minute lead when Manset fired in a left-footed shot, but Lincoln drew level two minutes later when Clapham scored from close range. Facey then forced the ball home to put the Imps ahead in the 24th minute, but Hereford kept pushing forward and were rewarded when Fleetwood swept home a 36th-minute equaliser and then scored a spectacular long-range effort to put the visitors ahead at the break. Lincoln equalised again when Grimes scored with an effort into the top corner, but Hereford, who twice hit the woodwork, grabbed the winner when Kenny Lunt set up Manset for the winner. Hereford finished with 10 men after Ryan Green, booked earlier, was dismissed in stoppage time for a deliberate hand ball.
