Lawrence leaves Bulls

Hereford have been hit by the news of technical director Lennie Lawrence`s departure just one month after his arrival at Edgar Street. Lawrence has been offered the position of assistant manager to new boss Dougie Freedman at Crystal Palace and will look to help guide the London club to Championship safety. The experienced former Charlton, Luton, Middlesbrough and Cardiff boss was recruited by the Bulls in mid-December to provide valuable management experience to relative rookie Jamie Pitman. But United part company on good terms and chairman David Keyte told the club`s official website: "We`ve enjoyed having Lennie on board these past few weeks but sadly he`s been made an offer he couldn`t refuse and one we couldn`t get near to matching. "The offer came right out of the blue and although he was naturally very excited at the chance to join Palace, I know he was very sorry to have to say goodbye to us. He`s given us some great input and we wish him well." Hereford are yet to make a decision regarding a direct replacement but are keen to strengthen the coaching set-up to help Pitman and assistant Russell Hoult.
