Hereford assistant manager and goalkeeping coach Russell Hoult may be about to prolong his career after signing up as a player for the rest of the season. The ex-Derby goalkeeper joined the club as a coach at the start of the season but with injuries in the goalkeeping department at Edgar Street Hoult will become the club`s second choice shot-stopper. Hereford boss Jamie Pitman told the club`s official website: "It seems crazy to have someone of Russell's talent and experience on the sidelines when we are approaching the vital run in to the season. "We need to have the best cover possible for Adam Bartlett and in Russell that`s what we`ve got." With Dan Connor recovering from a hip operation Hoult will take his place on the substitutes bench for Saturday's clash at Oxford.
